frequently asked questions
How do I know if college radio promo is right for me?
Are you actively playing shows, releasing music, getting to nearby markets in your region? Do you have fans who aren't your friends/community members? You might be ready for radio promo!
Is college radio promotion worth it?
Not for everyone! We have a great article here about how to ensure you get the most out of your campaign. If you're not already super active live and on social media, or don't have the time/energy to invest in getting there, your college radio campaign might not feel worth it at the end of the day.
How many CDs will we need?
Some college radio stations still only accept physical submissions. We make sure the biggest of these get a physical CD, while the remaining 400+ stations get digital downloads. We need 50 CDs to conduct a college radio campaign. We can also send out more for an additional shipping fee.
What’s your responsibility as an artist during send-outs?
Be as active as possible! Engage with DJs as we share chart/spin information. Thank them and follow them and talk to them and stuff. Post lots of content! Be on your A game!
How does reporting work?
We report chart information from NACC and Spinitron and compile information from individual correspondences we have with DJs and music directors. We track chart placements as well as individual spins.
